If you want to see more definition in your abs, you have to cut down your body fat percentage.This means you have to burn more calories than you consume, and also choose the right foods to get the nutrients you need and fuel your body. This process will vary from person to person, but a general rule is to avoid processed foods, foods that are high in fat or sugar, and anything fried. Stay away from empty calories. That means ditching things like soda and other sugary drinks immediately. You will notice a big difference! Stick to whole foods like fruits and veggies and lean meats, as well as legumes, grains, nuts, and seeds. Also, remember to stay hydrated & get plenty of rest! Try combining ab workouts with smart cardio like HIIT and TABATA while also maintaining a healthy diet, and you will be amazed by the results! Whether you’re doing ab workouts for women or a man looking for washboard abs, these tips will get you on the way to a toned & slim waist.

I find that one contributor to a bloated belly is gluten. That's why I choose to eliminate it from my diet. But not everyone can (or wants to!), especially since it pops up in everything from salad dressing to soy sauce. I advise women to try giving up gluten for a week and see how they feel. Rather not? Simply stick to whole grains, which are a much healthier choice than the overly processed alternatives.

A cleaner diet, along with the following moves, will improve your core by the end of the month. We all want a toned, flat stomach. No surprise there. But since many women are still relying on crunches to get it, we want to make one thing clear: Crunching is not the most effective abs workout.

"Crunches work only the muscles on the front and sides of your abdomen, but it's important to target all the muscles of the core to get more defined abs including lower back, hips, and upper thighs," says Lou Schuler, co-author of The New Rules of Lifting for Abs.

To lose belly fat and uncover amazing abs, Schuler recommends a series of core stabilization exercises based on a training program devised by co-author and personal trainer Alwyn Cosgrove.

"Core exercises like the plank help train muscles to stabilize the spine and pelvis so you can avoid back pain and improve posture, Schuler says. "They also burn more calories than crunches because they work more muscles."

Stretching For Weight Training - Chest & Shoulders Mobility Training for Weightlifters From a standing position with your arms hanging loosely at you sides, flex, extend, and rotate each of the following joints:

Fingers
Wrist
Elbows
Shoulders
Neck
Trunk and shoulder blades
Hips
Knees
Ankles
Feet and toes
NECK MOBILITY

Flexion/Extension - Tuck your chin into your chest, and then lift your chin upward as far as possible. 6 to 10 repetitions
Lateral Flexion - lower your left ear toward your left shoulder and then your right ear to your right shoulder. 6 to 10 repetitions
Rotation - Turn your chin laterally toward your left shoulder and then rotate it toward your right shoulder. 6 to 10 repetitions

Just hit chest and shoulders in the gym? Here are some of my favorite mobility exercises to help your sore muscles recover and improve flexibility for your next.

Chest & Shoulders stretching consists of controlled leg and arm swings that take you (gently!) to the limits of your range of motion. Ballistic stretches involve trying to force a part of the body beyond its range of motion.

In Chest & Shoulders stretches, there are no bounces or "jerky" movements. An example of Chest & Shoulders stretching would be slow, controlled leg swings, arm swings, or torso twists.

Just from my own experience, I know that I feel better, think better, and have more energy when my spine is strong, flexible, and pain free. To have a healthy back and spine, it's true that core strength and flexibility in the hamstrings are both essential. But we can’t overlook the benefits of a yoga practice focusing on the strength and health of our spines. Just remember to be where you are today as you practice (not where you were a month ago or where you’ll be in two week respect the body and listen when it talks).

This yoga practice guides you through a series of poses to balance the root chakra and cultivate grounding with gratitude. When the root chakra, or Muladhara, is out of balance a person can feel anxious, uneasy, fearful, worried and stressed.

This can lead to low energy and low immunity and an overall sense of instability. Use the tools of yoga to strengthen and balance to the root chakra, the foundation of all the other chakras. Cultivate self love, stability, and sense of security. You are worthy and deserving. Remind yourself, you are awesome and you are supported!

Muladhara, or Root Chakra, is located at the base of the spine. It is symbolized by the color red and a lotus with four petals.

You don’t have to be strong or flexible to begin the yoga practice, all you need is an open heart and the inspiration to practice yoga. Unroll your mat and do the practice!

If you are working towards middle splits and/or love deep hip openers, this video is for you! As always, take modifications to suit your body, never push a stretch to a point of pain - slight discomfort is best! Consistency is the most important when it comes to flexibility! Keep stretching and you will get there :)

Movement is essential to a happy, healthy lifestyle and I believe there is a form of movement for everyone. With roots in dance, much of my yoga is free flowing and therefore looks different on every body. That is the beauty of it! Allow your body to MOVE YOU. Morning Yoga Workout ♥ Deep Stretches Yoga poses, Power Yoga, Yoga for Flexibility


A 15 minute yoga workout class aimed to strengthen and to stretch your body. Perfect morning yoga to wakeup your body but also great anytime and almost anywhere. 

Many people ask what is the best workout to do when you wake up? Is a cardio workout or strength workout better in the morning? 

The best morning workout you can do to wake up your body is a combination of heart raising exercises, strength and mixing up stretching yoga poses throughout the workout. This 15 minute strength and stretch yoga class will do exactly that! It will get your heart rate up, get you sweating, working your abs, and stretching your shoulders, hamstrings, and upper body.

If you are looking to cure your morning fatigue, refocus your mind or wake up every muscle in your body to start your day, this is the perfect morning yoga class for you. 

Pair this morning yoga workout class with some of my other fitness videos to create an hour long full body workout!

You have to work hard AND eat clean.

I eat a plant based diet (yes im a vegan fitness girl) which helps a lot and i highly recommend it. But the working hard piece comes from within each of us... you have to commit yourself everyday to the idea of achieving whatever healthy look you desire.

Bikini Body Challenge Week 1 Butt & Leg Workout







Hey everybody! #BikiniBodyJustiz is here! Don't forget to take your "before" photo and upload your progress/transformation using that hashtag.

This is the first workout of the Challenge. This is a weight-optional workout, so use weight for the non-jumping exercises if you'd like. Repeat the whole workout 2-3 times for the best results.

Here's your schedule for the week:
Monday: Butt & Legs (this video!)
Tuesday: REST
Wednesday: Butt & Legs (this video!)
Thursday: Ab Workout (next video)
Friday: CARDIO DAY (on your own)
Saturday: Butt/Leg + Ab workout back to back
Sunday: REST
And get ready for the week 2 workouts!

You don't have to specifically start on a Monday but try to follow the sequence I gave you in this video.
